Hi, I’m Jai

A true child of the internet, I first began writing HTML and CSS for fun when I was 12 years old to make pages for my friends. In my free time I’d dabble in coding on Neopets, MySpace, and Tumblr until I began studying art in college where I specialized in digital art and began writing websites from scratch. While I enjoyed it, I wasn’t ready to make a career out of it after receiving my degree. Instead, I began creating digital and print marketing for art galleries and local businesses, occasionally being convinced to help maintain their websites in Drupal and WordPress.

Eventually, I realized that what I really wanted was to use my tech skills to help those same small businesses and individuals reach a wider audience so others could see how wonderful I already knew they were. I went back to school for my second degree in computer science where I dove into frontend development and user experience. Since graduating I have worked for a fortune 500 company  and a startup as a frontend developer, but was still missing that connection that came from working with small businesses. Thus, Dandelion Creatives was born. Now I spend my time helping some of my favorite people and fellow entrepreneurs see the success they deserve.
